Hello world!

On Monday, August 6 the ‘big little’ island of Jamaica celebrates 50 years of independence!

On that same day this feisty little Jamaican-American will post her first blog EVER (this one doesn’t count  :).  This, in part, to celebrate my own independence from living a life I have felt forced to live, and finding the courage to risk living the things I truly believe.

You will laugh, you will cry, you will think I may be a little crazy, but so much fun! You will tell your family and tell your friends, and together we will keep it real and have a blast!

Forgetting the past, refusing to be anxious about the future, today is the gift from the heart of God;  so I am making good choices and praying I don’t screw it up…just living the thing!

Maranatha!

It seems that God has stirred up these dreams for such a time as this for His purposes. You always motivate me with your oratory skills so I can totally see you writing and speaking publicly. I’m reminded of the “little saint” who said (paraphrase) You don’t have to do GREAT things, only SMALL things with GREAT LOVE. I’m so glad you are “becoming”. In my morning inspirational reading just the other day the theme was ‘that God’s plan for us is not the goal but the journey; how we get there -wherever ‘there’ is. It’s different for us all. I’m still working on the SMALL things!..thank you so much for sharing your JOURNEY.
